This was our first trip after lockdown and were slightly unsure about what to expect. However once we arrived at the hotel we warmly welcomed by the reception staff (all behind perspex screens and wearing masks) and were checked into our room very quickly. The hotel had obviously made lots of changes to ensure it was complying with COVID measures, with hand sanitiser available throughout the hotel communal areas and masks encouraged to be worn. We had a very enjoyable time on our first trip in many months, and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking to visit the area.
The hotel is clean and the service was good. The rooms are big and comfortable, the beds are really soft and great to sleep in. I even slept on the sofa bed and I had a great night. It is a bit far from the city centre and the beach, but if you do not mind walking like me, it is a nice walk as you can see people and places than otherwise you would miss.
A retro-style hotel built in an old theatre...total throw back, really fun, gorgeous setting. Very friendly & helpful staff. Excellent service in the hotel as well as the pintxo bar and restaurant (which had great food and huge variety). Reasonably priced for a really nice place to stay close to everything in San Sebastian. We walked everywhere, even the train station (15 mins). Oh and the hotel smells awesome-like jasmine and gardenia and vanilla. I don't know how they do it but it was a luscious olfactory experience the entire time.
It’s difficult to create a themed hotel that is also seriously stylish, yet comfortable and good value. The fun starts with a life size ( and lifelike) Hitchcock sitting in a set of cinema stalls by reception. The rooms, each themed on an actor or director are spacious, well equipped and comfortable.
Staff are friendly and efficient, and the restaurant holds its own in a town where that is no small challenge.
A ten minute walk from the beach and bar area, and an excellent choice with a secure underground car park
